From grassroots scenes to global industry shifts, I’ve dedicated my career to amplifying marginalised voices, telling stories people need to hear and shedding light on overlooked social issues within music and beyond.
About Me
I’m a UK-based freelance music journalist, podcast host, DJ and content creator working with The Guardian, The BBC, Mixmag, Resident Advisor, Beatportal, Huck Magazine, +972 Mag, Red Bulletin and more. I have multiple radio residencies, all of them spotlighting global underground scenes and centering marginalized voices.
I’ve spent the last 9+ years documenting subculture around the world, from the UK’s most remote club night in the Scottish Highlands to Mumbai’s anti-caste grime scene to the DIY Palestinian underground parties bubbling up within Israel’s borders.
I’ve interviewed hundreds of artists, from international names to underground pioneers. Through these conversations I’ve developed a nuanced understanding of the global cultural and social dynamics shaping nightlife, dance music and creative industries. That’s why my work is always rooted in values of equity, empathy, compassion and critical dialogue.
I work with brands to write thought leadership articles, host panels and podcasts, create compelling social media content and share overlooked stories and perspectives that deserve to be heard.
